Honda and Google Collaborate on In-vehicle Connected Services

Today’s drivers need to remain connected on the road, and Honda now makes this more accessible than ever to do. Since 2015, Honda has been working with Google to incorporate Android Auto technology in many models. Recently the two companies made a joint announcement regarding an all-new model. This new model will be fully integrated with Google’s connected services, and it will be offered in North America in the latter half of 2022.

To date, the Android Auto technology that is currently in many Honda models offers smartphone functionality to drivers through an easy-to-navigate platform. By doing so, it enables drivers to remain connected while driving safely. The next-level collaboration between Google and Honda will add various features that will benefit modern drivers.

Precisely, Google Assistant will control everything from smart device functionality and the navigation system to media access and more. This enables drivers to stay focused on the road while also enjoying full access to various technologies. The updated technology offers enhanced functionality with Google Maps. This includes finding EV charging stations, finding nearby businesses, estimating an arrival time, and more. Through Google Play that will now be available in Honda vehicles, drivers can listen to audiobooks, podcasts, and more via downloadable apps rather than through their smartphone.

Our Cardinal Honda team is excited about the latest updates to our models, and we are happy to tell you more about these and other modern features. Contact our sales office today to learn more about our current and future models.
