Serving Groton, CT
At Cardinal Honda, we proudly carry a large variety of the latest Honda models on the market. Many of our customers who are interested in a smaller crossover SUV are drawn to the HR-V. The HR-V sits at the front of Honda’s crossover lineup, and it has bold styling and capabilities. Now that your attention is focused on the HR-V, you may be wondering what the differences are between the 2022 HR-V and the next-gen 2023 HR-V. Our Honda sales associates are thrilled to assist with your comparison.
Performance
You will quickly identify differences between these models when you take them out for a spin. In the 2022 HR-V, a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission, and this combination gives you 141 horsepower. While front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is a possibility for all trims. The 2023 HR-V is engineered to be more powerful and responsive. It is equipped with the same transmission and a 2.0-liter, 158-horsepower engine. The all-wheel-drive system has been elevated with Real-Time AWD. An independent rear suspension has also been added to the 2023 HR-V.
Appearance
You will spot big differences between the 2022 HR-V and the revamped 2023 HR-V throughout the exterior. The 2022 HR-V is easy on the eyes with its arched side accents and sporty profile. On the nose, the bar-style grille that is common on many Honda vehicles rolls into angled, triangular headlights. The 2023 HR-V is wider and longer, and it has a bolder profile. From the front view, you will see a premium scoop that runs down the hood as well as a smaller grille. The redesigned headlights also have been accentuated with a thin ribbon of orange light.
Features
Both the 2022 and 2023 versions of the HR-V are well-equipped, but there are several differences. Both models have equipment like heated front seats, a keyless starter, USB power ports, leather material, a rear auto-dimming mirror, a large infotainment system screen, smart device app integration, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and forward collision mitigation. If you choose to buy the 2023 HR-V, your crossover may also come with a wide-angle camera, traffic jam assistance, traffic sign recognition, wireless smart device app connectivity, a digital instrument panel screen, a larger central display touchscreen, and a wireless charging pad.
Our Cardinal Honda associates want to help you make a crossover selection that you will love. To get more details on the 2022 and 2023 HR-V trim levels, contact our sales office today.
