The 2023 Honda CR-V and the 2023 Honda Pilot show exciting improvements as they break into new generations. Both of these SUVs have enhanced styling and other updates that raise their appeal, and this could make it more challenging for you to decide on one specific model. At Cardinal Honda, we are happy to answer all your questions about these next-generation models and help you select an SUV that produces the driving experience you have in mind.
Performance
The 2023 CR-V is available with two powertrain options. The CR-V's main engine is a 190-horsepower, turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. It is combined with a CVT and front-wheel drive, or you can get all-wheel drive as an upgrade. The CR-V also has a hybrid four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that generates 204 combined horsepower. The exclusive powertrain available with the 2023 Honda Pilot is a V6, 3.5-liter, 285-horsepower engine with an automatic 10-speed transmission. The trims have standard front-wheel drive, or you can upgrade to all-wheel drive with most trims.
Appearance
Across the exteriors, the CR-V and the Pilot both display updated styling. The CR-V's front end has been completely redesigned with a new grille connected with LED-topped headlamps. Below this black grille, the black bumper is slender and is paired with thin air vents. The CR-V's sides are enhanced with a pinstripe accent and dark molding. The three-row Pilot is longer and has a tall, flat roof. The headlights and grille on the Pilot are similarly shaped. However, the headlights have a lower LED ribbon of light, and the grille is more extensive. The front air vents on the 2023 Pilot are also larger. Across the sides of the Pilot, you will find smooth surfaces and dark molding.
Features
Regardless of your selection of the Pilot or the CR-V, your SUV may come with forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, driver's memory settings, a wireless device charging pad, a smart device app connection, a navigation system, rain-sensing wipers, a premium sound system, a hands-free liftgate, and a heated steering wheel. The Pilot gives you three rows of seats with the option of captain's chairs in the second row. It also has heated seats in the first and second rows, parking sensors, a wireless hotspot, power-folding side mirrors, and a cabin intercom system.
