Some of the Pilot’s trim levels are up to 181 pounds lighter than the Telluride’s counterparts, which translates to improved performance capabilities. Specifically, it enables the Pilot to excel in cornering, stopping, and acceleration. Both models have front-wheel drive as standard equipment, and all-wheel drive is optional. The Pilot’s all-wheel drive option comes with Intelligent Traction Management, adjusting the SUV’s capabilities to suit four driving conditions including Snow, Sand, and Mud. The Telluride only offers a Snow Mode. On navigation-equipped models, the Honda Pilot comes with Honda HD Digital Traffic at no additional cost. A similar feature is available in the Telluride models with a navigation system, but this is only offered with a free trial. Once that ends, Kia drivers must pay subscription fee for the service. The Honda Pilot is also offered with CabinControl®, which provides a range of smartphone-enabled features. There is no comparable feature available in the Telluride. In addition, the Pilot Touring trim level and up offers Wi-Fi® Hotspot Capability 1, and this is not an option for any of the Telluride’s trim levels.
