Serving Groton, CT

The Honda Insight gets some changes in 2021 compared to 2020, although most of its changes affect the interior. The list of standard safety technology is expanded on select trims of the Insight in 2021, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Along with adding more safety technology to select trims, the Insight also adds more luxury features to the Touring trim as a standard offering, including navigation and premium leather seats. As with the 2020 model year, the Insight can be customized through packages and add-on features in various ways for 2021. While there were a few differences between 2021 and 2020, the 2020 Honda Insight did not receive any changes from the 2019 model year.

Performance is the same for the Honda Insight in the 2021 and 2020 model years. In both years, the Insight is configured by a hybrid powertrain that pairs a 1.5L gasoline engine with a separate electric motor. The mechanical system for the Insight produces a total of just over 150 HP. The system gives the Insight class-leading fuel efficiency without sacrificing power. There are also two driving modes available for a custom drive no matter where you go, Econ and Sport drive settings. An automatic transmission is standard for both model years.

There are no major changes to note between the 2021 and 2020 Insight model years on the outside. Bold LED lights are standard, with low-beam and high-beam settings that you can adjust as needed based on external conditions. The Insight is also equipped with daytime running lights for added safety and security. LED taillights are available on some trims for an overall bold look. Alloy wheels give a sharp appearance to all trim levels, while chrome accents across the board give the Insight a presentable and stylish appearance.

While there aren't many updates for the Honda Insight in 2021 in looks or performance, there are some changes for the interior. This year, the Insight gets more standard features to the top two trims, while the base trim level remains the same. The EX trim adds more safety technology to its list of comprehensive driver-assist safety tools. The Touring trim, which is the top, adds more safety features and more standard luxury amenities such as leather seats. Its infotainment system also includes navigation.
