2021 Honda HR-V LX vs 2021 Honda HR-V EX

Serving Groton, CT

The Honda HR-V kicks off the automaker’s brilliant line of crossovers. In 2021, this subcompact crossover offers four trim levels for shoppers at Cardinal Honda to choose from, and most aspects of all trims are identical to the preceding model year. Our Honda dealership’s inventory usually holds various HR-V crossovers for our local customers to check out. Comparing the LX and the EX trim levels is a smart way to start your HR-V trim research.

The base HR-V LX is followed in the Sport, the LX, and the Touring lineup. An I-4 engine that runs on unleaded gas produces 141 horsepower throughout all four trims. The continuously variable transmission that accompanies the four-cylinder engine adds a sport driving mode at the higher trim levels. Throughout the entire 2021 line, this crossover’s performance is impacted by hill start assist, anti-lock brakes, eco assist, automatic brake hold, and more.

From every angle, the 2021 HR-V is easy on the eyes. The integrated unit on the crossover’s rounded nose curves upward slightly, and it has a bar-topped grille with three-bulb headlights. This curved theme is mimicked at the rear. Throughout the HR-V’s trims, you can appreciate a liftgate spoiler, moderate body molding, sharp angles accenting the sides, and a sporty curve across the roof. Features in the EX trim level that are not offered in the 2021 LX trim include fog lamps, an exhaust finisher, roof rails, rear privacy glass, and heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

While the LX and the EX trim levels show off the same HR-V interior design that drivers may have appreciated in last year’s version, these trim levels carry remarkable differences and a few similarities. They both have a Magic Seat in the second row, Bluetooth tech, a sound system, a USB port, cruise control, power windows, an AC system, and illuminated features on the steering wheel. The EX trim’s other standard features for the 2021 model year are a premium audio system, Honda Sensing® technologies, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated seats, a push-button starter, and others.

The Cardinal Honda sales team is unrelentingly passionate about supporting each customer’s shopping experience. Are you eager to get to know the HR-V in full detail? Schedule an HR-V test drive at Cardinal Honda by calling or emailing the sales department today.
