2021 Honda CR-V LX vs 2021 Honda CR-V EX

Serving Groton, CT

In many ways, the CR-V is the ideal SUV for a variety of drivers. It has the power drivers are after, as well as the comfort and convenience. This SUV is available in four different trim levels. Of course, they are all very well-equipped. The first two options on the list, known as the LX and EX, each are appealing. In some ways, they are the same, but they do have some key differences.

Performance

First, there is the performance. These vehicles are essentially the same. A turbocharged four-cylinder lives underneath the hood of both and creates 190-horsepower. Helping to give the SUV smooth shifts and excellent fuel economy is a standard continuously variable transmission. Both of these trim levels come with front-wheel drive. However, they can both be upgraded to an all-wheel drive as well.

Appearance

After receiving a refresh last year, the 2021 CR-V is more stylish than ever. The EX has round LED foglights, along with a head-turning new design for its 18-inch wheels. The exterior design of both models is also ideal for driving in bad weather or off-road. Front-wheel drive models have 7.8-inches of ground clearance, while all-wheel drive models go up to 8.2-inches.

Features

Sticking with the entry-level CR-V LX means getting automatic climate control and various advanced driver assistance features. These include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams. Bluetooth is included as well. The EX adds quite a bit to the SUV. It has heated front seats and adds dual-zones to the climate control. As for safety features, it adds a blind-spot monitor. Other highlights to be aware of include keyless entry, push-button start, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The high-tech additions can be controlled on a 7-inch touchscreen.
