2020 Honda Civic vs 2020 Honda Accord

Serving Groton, CT

At Cardinal Honda, we proudly carry an impressive selection of Civic and Accord cars for our customers to choose from. Both of these vehicles have maintained their popularity across many decades. While they have some shared traits, the Civic is a compact car that is available in sedan, coupe, and hatchback body styles. The Accord is a midsize vehicle that is only available in a sedan format. Through a detailed comparison of these two beautiful models, you can conveniently pick out the right Honda vehicle for your wants and needs from our extensive inventory.

Performance

The Civic is available in multiple unique trim options, including five trims with the sedan body style. The lower Civic sedan trims are outfitted with an inline-4 gas powertrain that is capable of producing 158 horsepower. Stepping up to the higher trim levels, the Civic is loaded with an inline-4 turbo engine that delivers 178 horsepower. The Accord is also sold with two powertrain options. The base-level engine is a 1.5-liter turbo, an inline-4 engine that generates 192 horsepower. The high-level powertrain for the 2020 Accord is a 2.0-liter turbo, inline-4 gas engine that provides you with 252 horsepower. In select trims for both of these models, you could benefit from hill start assist, direct fuel injection, active noise cancellation, the Eco Assist™ System, remote engine start, and other items.

Appearance

The 2020 Honda Civic is designed with a sporty element, and its profile mostly defines this. Its hood has a slightly deeper angle, and the façade is relatively smooth, with only modest definition down the upper and lower side panels. The roof tapers directly to the rear and ends in a modified trunk lid spoiler. The 2020 Honda Accord, on the other hand, is a larger vehicle that maintains its prominence across the hood. It has a defined trunk area, and its side definition is comparable to the Civic's side design. Both of these coveted Honda car models have a thick, bar-style grille that is directly integrated with angled, pointed headlights.

Features

The included and available features across the Civic and Accord trims are progressively sophisticated as you walk up the trim lines. All trims are loaded with standard Honda Sensing® safety equipment. Some or all trims for both models may come with Apple CarPlay, leather seats with heat, Android Auto, a navigation system, a single-touch moonroof, heated side mirrors, an audio system, LED exterior lighting, a multi-angle rear camera, Honda LaneWatch™, remote start, keyless entry, and numerous other items.

Everything from the size of these vehicles to their style, features, and abilities vary dramatically. You can get a better idea about how their differences could impact your time on the road with a visit to our Honda dealership and a test drive of your preferred trims from each model.
