Cardinal Honda breaks down the Honda Sensing® safety suite

If you're in the market for a new car, you've probably been bombarded with information about advanced safety technologies. They're all the rage right now, and for good reason! For decades, reputable automakers, including Honda, have worked hard to build cars that could withstand accidents. Now they're developing technologies that help to prevent a collision in the first place!

Honda's way of combating accidents is with Honda Sensing®. It's a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies and with it you'll get the following: Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Braking System, and Forward Collision Warning.

So, what does each feature do? We'll break that down!

Lane Departure Warning: can detect if you're drifting out of your lane and will give you audible alerts to draw your attention back to the correct lane.

Lane Keeping Assist: if you don't make the adjustment to get back into your lane, the vehicle will provide gentle assistance.

Road Departure Mitigation: if you go across a detected lane without signaling, the vehicle will adjust the speed and braking.

Adaptive Cruise Control: instead of constantly needing to adjust your cruise control because of the cars in front of you, your vehicle will do it and maintain a set distance.

Collision Braking System: if the car determines a crash is impossible to avoid, it will apply braking to lessen the force.

Forward Collision Warning: with the help of a camera mounted on the windshield, your vehicle can warn you if you're at risk of a collision.

Helpful technologies, right? Honda Sensing® is available or standard on most new Honda models. If having these features is important, let our sales team know when you stop in for a test drive and they'll point you towards the right models/trims.
